How do I use Powe Point Presentations?
I usually use Power Point presentations in grammar and composition classes, and also for content courses such as Contemporary Latin American Politics. Most of the times I use my website for exercises, readings, and assignments.
I use Power Point with different purposes. For grammar classes I look to offer students grammar examples and explanations not covered in the book. Also, I use the pp for writing activities performed in class (not in the lab).
For content courses I use pp to offer students with countries overview. I do not use them in class but I attach them to my website, so they can read them before the class.

My relation with Internet (Homework II)
I still read my electronic mail three times per day, sometimes I do not read it at all. Just to reply students, friends, and for professional purposes. I still get up in the morning and the first thing I turn on is the coffee maker, the toaster, or the burner to boil water for the "mate". I just read newspapers online because I can not buy Pagina/12, but when I am at home I that is the first thing I do: I go to buy the newspaper on my pajamas.
I can not write on my computer with many windows opened (except those from my house), they do not distract me, I am just enjoying what I am doing at that moment.
I do not use msn, although I have an account. It is that people is sleeping when I am working, or the other way. I enjoy to speak on the phone with my friends: to listen to their voices and the surrounding noises.
I use the library a lot, I like to get lost in the Latin American Collection: usually I find books and...people.
I have this blog that I have used for first time in a week. It takes a lot of time to update it.
I still like to be out far from the computer.
Time spent on the internet: maybe 1 hour per day (not on Saturday and Holidays).
Software used: Words, Excel, Mozilla, Picture it, Power Point
Sites I usually use for my classes: my website, You Tube, cha cha cha, some radios, Pagina/12, Clarin, The New York Times, El Pais, Google.
Bueno, me despido.

Reactions to articles read for TIFLE class
I have found the article "Why call CALL "CALL"?, by Levy and Hubbard very interesting. Going beyond the discussion on terminology I think this article offers an interesting insight on the different ways we can address students needs and expectations in the classroom by using technology.
